When I heard there are only about 1864 pandas left in the world, I knew I had to paint at least one. Even though I wouldn't want to meet one in a dark alley, I'd invite this bear over to snuggle by a warm fire.  

This award-winning painting was selected as the "Employee Choice Award" at the 2019 World of the Wild art show at the Utah Hogle Zoo. Done in an open impressionist or pointillist style, this exotic animal was painted in bold, split-compliment color schemes and high contrasting value scales. The "shattering" effect as I often refer to it, adds energy to the spaces and helps transition shapes and perceived lines.
